Fit2Go ladies' walking sessions
...the fun way to stay fit and healthy
Why? If you’ve taken the first steps to getting active, but want to improve your fitness levels, then a walking club is a safe, supportive yet challenging way to do this.

Walking has many benefits - here are just a few:

dotCan lower risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and cancers

Where? Most walks will start and finish at the public car park next to St. Johns School. Walks may change venue, depending on the route chosen, though all ladies will be informed prior to the walk.
When? Tuesdays 9.00 - 10.00am (more sessions may be added if there is sufficient demand). Walking sessions will continue if it is raining and will be cancelled only in severe weather conditions, ie. heavy rain and strong winds. Please ring (07624 452108) if you are unsure.
Who can join in? Any lady who has a basic level of fitness (ie. Can walk for at least 30 minutes at a fairly brisk pace) to a maximum of 10 ladies per session.
What will I need?
dot A pair of comfortable, supportive trainers
dot Shorts or stretchy workout pants
dot A short or long-sleeved shirt
dot A waterproof top layer or jacket

Walks may be over mixed terrain so be prepared for some mud, and, unfortunately, stilettos are out, ladies!
What will walking sessions be like? Walking sessions will involve a warm up of about 10 minutes, then a longer period where different walking activities and fun challenges may be set. All walks will end with a cooldown and stretch.
